Fallen Leaves
In this romantic comedy, lonely people Holappa (Jussi Vatanaen) and Ansa (Alma Pöysti) meet in a Helsinki karaoke bar, hit it off and make a date to meet at a screening of Jim Jarmusch’s apocalyptic zombie comedy “The Dead Don’t Die.” But after their date, phone numbers are lost, and it takes Holappa hanging around the same cinema to finally reconnect. Fallen Leaves' winning streak of course began at Cannes where it won the Jury Prize, and then earlier this year won the Best Film of the Year prize from the International Film Critics Federation; in Finnish with English Subtitles.
