Brideshead Revisited

Emma Thompson, Michael Gambon, Mathew Goode, Ben Whishaw, Hayley Atwell, Felicity Jones and Greta Scacchi star in this sumptuous adaptation of the novel by Evelyn Waugh about forbidden love and lost innocence. Captain Charles Ryder, stationed at Brideshead Castle during World War II, revisits his time at the estate and his memories of the aristocratic family. Julian Jarrold (Becoming Jane) directs. Starring Tannishtha Chatterjee and Christopher Simpson, directed by Sarah Gavron, based on the best selling novel by Monica Ali. Rate PG-13

This French romantic suspense thriller is based on the best selling American novel by Harlan Coben. A pediatrician whose beloved wife was murdered eight years earlier is notified that the case will be re-opened and that he is a suspect when two bodies are found near the scene of the first crime. Then he receives a video clip via anonymous e-mail which suggests that his wife is still alive. The powerhouse cast includes Francois Cluzet, Kristin Scott-Thomas, Marie-Josee Croze, Nathalie Baye and Jean Rochefort. Not rated; in French with English Subtitles.
